Children

Welcome to Hope Community Church Children’s Ministry!

Jesus loved children and so do we. We know your children are the most precious people in your life and that is why we consider it a privilege to be entrusted with the responsibility of assisting you in their care and nurturing during our service times on Sundays.

Our Nursery for ages 0-3 is located in the first room on the left as you enter our 511 N Main St location. We have a dedicated staff of nursery volunteers that provide a safe, loving environment for your child.

We are committed to providing an intergenerational Worship experience for all in our Community. One way we do this is to include Children (above Nursery age) as part of the first half of our Worship gatherings. At our Meet & Greet break, about half way through our service, school age children are released to age appropriate Bible lessons and activities which take place concurrent with the message time.

Family Room is available in the back of our Worship Area to provide a place for parents to be with their kids when they get restless during the service

Classes for ages 4 year olds through 6th graders are located through the glass door at the right of our Information Booth in the back of our Worship area. We offer 2 classes: 1) Pre-K through 1st Grade and 2) Grades 2-6. The children are dismissed to their classes halfway through the service, at the Meet & Greet break.

We ask that parents complete a registration form for your child if they have not registered for our nursery or Children’s classes before. Registration forms are located at our Information Book, in the Nursery and in each classroom.

Our Goal: Teaching and equipping children to be disciples of Jesus Christ.

christian-children-clip-art-free-i4At Hope Community Church we want kids to be excited to learn about the Bible, to grow in their relationship with Jesus and obtain the knowledge they need to become fellow disciples of Christ. We have created our children’s ministry with the children in mind. Our teachers love the Lord and kids. They are creative individuals, with experience working with children, who get the kids interested and excited to learn about God’s Word through stories, games and crafts.

What kids do on Sunday Mornings

Prayer Time: The children learn the importance of prayer by having an opening prayer time. During this time they can share any prayer requests they have and also pray for their family and friends.
Music Time: Children sing songs that are filled with love for Jesus and that help them remember God’s promises.
Story Time: The children listen to the Bible story for the week, this includes scripture reading and discussing the story as it is shared.
Small Group Time: After the Bible story is shared the children break into small groups to have a time of questions and answers to help reinforce the Bible story they heard.
Craft Time: At this time the children will do activity sheets or special crafts so they can physically show what they have learned in the lesson.
Snack Time: This is a time were the kids can fellowship with each other and the teachers. This time allows them to get to know each other better and talk further about what might be on their hearts.
